Hey everyone
been a forum member for a while posted about my dog normally - benji! Anyway recently got back from travels and Benji lives my parents at the other house and im contemplating having a cat here. I have never had a cat before...i've totally fallen in love with a cat at the RSPCA and seeing her tomorrow - she's 4 years old - do you guys think a novice / beginner would be ok with a cat as opposed to a kitty? I have friends that know alot about cats etc but wanted to see what you thought Thanks |

Re: Cat / Kitten
You should be fine with an older cat, as long as he seems friendly and happy to be petted you should bond quite quickly. Indroductions with your dog will take longer and you need to be careful, a swipe from a grown cat can be dangerous to a dogs eyes.

Re: Cat / Kitten
Benji doesnt live with me here so they wont be meeting anytime soon - I may try and introduce them but there's no real need to introduce them i dont think as they wont be around each other
She is 4 years old - cant wait to see her Thank you |

Re: Cat / Kitten
I'm going to see her today...figuring out whether I should get a cab as its an hour away by public transit or - but cabs cost so much!
Here's a photo of her from the RSCPA website I've fallen in love with her already! Hopefully I can have her ![]() 430107_313519028690966_126534420722762_932967_1069838948_n.jpg |

Re: Cat / Kitten
Visit went well! I love her! She's the first cat to approach me - she has been living with a dog and 2 cats but has been rehomed as the lady that had her was elderly and isn't doing too well hence why she has been given into rspca.
She was miowing at me and all sorts Really want her!The foster carer said the next stage is to get a home visit - Does anyone here have any experiance of doing home visits with the RSPCA or had a home visit by the RSPCA? Really hope I can have her - she would have a loving home and all the space in the world and spoilt rotten being the only pet at the house! Any info would be great ![]() |
