leo went to the vets

well today it is hot....
he spent most of today sleeping which we thought was ok
but then we tried to wake him up and he didnt. so i shook him and he slightly slightly opened his eyes and went back to sleep! i was worried but left him for a bit because he seemed ok, he was out in his run.... then mum found him sleeping and she flicked some water on him and he didnt wake up for around 2 minutes!
i was prepared for the absolue worst

he took his temprature and found blood in his poo!!!!!!! he gave him a tablet and luckily told us that is was...
A GUT UPSET!
yay! it isnt anything too bad!
he said he cant guarantee it is nothing yet but he thinks that is all is good! he couldnt find any abnormalities in his body!
im soooo happy!
so now he gave us a can of special food to help his diarrhea and some tablets for him to take for the next week just to be sure its all good!
and now he is up and walking around instead of sleeping!!!!!!!!!!

Re: leo went to the vets

Aw poor Leo hope he's better soon! Other than the syringe I can't think of any other way! When I had to syringe oscars meds in to him I wrapped him in a towel and did it as quick as I could before he could hurt himself ( obviously Oscar had all his injuries at that point)

Yeah cats are very cunning when it comes to tablets, sly buggers!

You should try rubbing a little bit of butter on his nose. He will lick it off and doing so will keep the tablet down
