Re: "Get off" Spray
we just have one of those water sprayer bottles that you use to water your plants... you can buy them in garden centres and stuff
Like this : ![]() works a treat ![]() we tell her off, and if she doesnt listen we give her a quick squirt... usually the noise of the handle being pulled back and that weird squish noise makes me stop before the water even comes out The link youve given is to stop cats from soiling and spraying, and removing the odor/cleaning the area Last edited by Amie; 08-12-2008 at 12:43 PM.. |

Re: "Get off" Spray
I think thats more to stop them weeing somewhere. I know cats are supposed to hate citrus smells, but its never had an affect on my lot. I have several of them love lemon flavoured yogurt and cake
Christmas trees are way to exciting, especially to a young kitten.

Re: "Get off" Spray
I agree a water spray is a good idea, but not if you are going to have electric lights on your tree, you won't want to be spraying water in her direction if she is near those.

Re: "Get off" Spray
If you leave it up undecorated, it may lose its appeal especially if you can find something else for her to be intested in. What about a play cube, not very expensive and even my adults love playing in those.
Although that said, if she does loose interest and you put decs on it, those lovely sparkly things will make her interested in it all over again. ![]()

Re: "Get off" Spray
she has everything already a play tunnel and scrath posts, scratch mats mices, balls , dangle sticks and whatever else she steals and runs off with.
If i was going out to buy her new toys to get her away from the tree i would be bankrupt lol. I think maybe i just have to accept the fact i can not have the tree up this year. She did leave it alone for a while but my other cat likes to lick it for some reason so i could see the look on her face, As if to say well if she is allowed near it then i will go near it. |

Re: "Get off" Spray
I would agree with this. Waffles hates oranges and hides if I am eating one or if I put the peel near her. She sort of winces.

Re: "Get off" Spray
I have 3 cats one of them is a kitten and my tree has been up since the 1st and none of them have been anywhere near it mainly because i have a water pistol and even if they go under it they get a squirt and its worked wonders
