Not A Morning Cat...

Had to share this

Got up at 5am this morning because OH had to start early. Normally get up at 7am. I went into the kitchen, where Waffles sleeps and turned the light on. She blinked at me, stretched, jumped down from her bed and walked around the kitchen meowing. I fed her her breakfast and she continued to do so!
It was a different kind of meow like a whine or a complaint lol!
I sent OH out into the cold, went back into the kitchen and said to her, "you think I want to be up this early?" and went back to bed!
She is not best pleased

p.s. she ate a spider and an earwig at the weekend :s

I know it is icky but I can't stand spiders and she finds them rather tasty so we are a perfect couple lol.
I moved into my flat and there was a spider in the corner, two days later Waffles was given to me as a house warming present and then the next night she went over and ate that spider in the corner I have only seen two others in the flat since, both of which she has eaten.
It is great having a cat if you hate spiders

Re: Not A Morning Cat...

Rosie loves spiders but they have to be at least medium size or bigger for her to eat,she just toys with em and kills em if their smaller, she doesn't do earwigs though and the kitts think she's radged and when she tries to show them what she's playing with they miss it completely and play with her and then wonder what all the fuss was aboutDIt is great having a spider eating cat though, makes me sleep easier

Re: Not A Morning Cat...

Thats so funny coz Jasper did the same thing this morning, I'm on earlies this week and its the first time since I've had him, the alarm went off and I put the light on and practically glared at me and dived under the duvet as if to say what time do you call this, it's still dark!! I'm sure he went right back to sleep when I went to work!! They are funny.

Re: Not A Morning Cat...

It doesnt matter what time it is, even if i get up for a pee.. the cats are sleeping on my sons bed and follow me to check if they are getting fed. i have never fed them in the middle of the night so i have noo idae why they think thi might happen! lol

If I dont shut them out my bedroom they wake me up at 5 am.. or rather I wake up because i can sense something there, and it is milo about 2 inches away from my face! of course as soon as he sees im awake he starts purring and i cant sleep when they do that, so i have to get up to put him out the room! lol

Talking Re: Not A Morning Cat...

My kitten wakes up before that time every morning, so I don't think she'd care if I was up that time...not that I ever am. As for spiders, she eats the biggies, but just paws at the little ones...I just wish that she'd gobble them all up, as I really hate spiders. Earwigs she just can't seem to eat, even though she tries her best...I think it's because she has a missing upper canine, so she struggles with some foods.

Re: Not A Morning Cat...

I usually have to grope my way downstairs between 3 and 4 in the morning to let Gizmo out. He goes out of the front door so that I don't wake Mai Tai in the conservatory. I don't like getting up in the dark!!
