FroliCat dart/bolt

Does anyone have one of these?

FroliCat DART - buy at Firebox.com

FroliCat BOLT - buy at Firebox.com

My kitty (like most) is obsessed with shadows and light movement to the point where she stands crying waiting for a car to go past so she can chase the light reflected on our wall! I was thinking she might appreciate one of these, does anyone know how good they are?

Re: FroliCat dart/bolt

I've got one!

It's alright, the automated laser beam moves around quite slowly and the thing itself makes quite a lot of noise so it sometimes distracts my kitten! It is quite good for distracting him though when I'm trying to do something that's farrr more interesting that anything he could be doing- cooking, work on the laptop etc!

I normally end up just picking up the thing and moving the beam around manually though, so maybe you'd be better off with one of the hand held lasers.

Thanks for the reply
Which one do you have? I've just gone for it and bought the dart as it was on offer. Couldn't resist!

Ziggy meows at the light fairies on the wall / ceiling. We have to lift him up to them to shut him up!

Laser pointers are great but I prefer handheld laser pointers so I can be careful not to get it in their eyes.

I'd be worried about them investigating where the light comes through and it damaging their eyesight or something?

I've got the bolt, from looking at those links though the dart looks much better than mine, so I think you've made the right choice!

Re: FroliCat dart/bolt

Just wanted to update. The frolicat dart has been a huge success! It's a little nosier than I expected but it doesn't bother the cats! Lola loves it, in fact I had to turn it off after 10 minutes as she was relentless and starting panting The boys tend to watch more than chase but its bought them closer together as they all sit together watching and batting at it!
I was in the kitchen this morning and heard it come on, Lola has worked out how to turn it on already! I highly recommend it.

The water fountain hasn't been as much of a success. They still prefer the pond but at least its there in their play room if they ever fancy a drink.
