Anybody know about BSH colourpoints?

Do their eyes become more blue as they get older or do they basically stay the same shade throughout? ... in your experience.

Re: Anybody know about BSH colourpoints?

His eyes should be set now. His points will get darker but not his eyes - how dark are they now?

Alaskacat will become famous soon enough
Re: Anybody know about BSH colourpoints?

I have a BSH colourpoint and white and her eyes are very very pale too, she's nearly 7 months old. I have found the Snowshoe eyes tend to appear darker as they age, over 4 years or so, but that may be an optical illusion occuring as the points darken with age, the blue maybe stands out more.

Spid is right they should be set now.

Re: Anybody know about BSH colourpoints?

Very difficult to get dark eyes with lilacs - something in the genes.

Puindoors is on a distinguished road
Re: Anybody know about BSH colourpoints?

With Birman eye colour at about 7-8 weeks old is usually what it'll look like as an adult. They can go through a 'muddy' stage as adolescents, with the final eye colour re-emerging at around 18 months.

So at 7 months your cats eyes may well darken/clear over the next few months, but it'll never be as good as a cat that had good eye colour at 7 months, if you see what I mean.
