How do you "fix" an aggressive kitten?

I adopted a moggy kitten from the SPCA on the 10th of January. She had just been spayed and so when we got her, she was very calm and sleepy and friendly. She then got cat flu and was very sleepy and calm, but now she has recovered, she is extremely aggressive and unfriendly.

She is always comfortable with people around, and prefers to be around people, but will not interact with them. If she is picked up, she will last 5 seconds before she begins squirming and scratching anything she can get her claws on. She will not cuddle or sit on anyone's lap. When I come into my room where she is usually staying, she meows and is very happy to see me. She will meow and follow me and when I pet her she is happy. So it sort of seems like she gets into "moods" where she is aggressive.

When she is in a very playful mood, and begins to chew on my wires, i try to pick her up and put her on the floor but she attacks my hand and bites me, to the point where my arm bleeds from scratching. This behaviour is not appropriate. I understand she is a kitten and is very playful and full of energy, but her aggressiveness needs to be fixed. Please help!
