Bought a 'toy' for my cats.....

Both Chew and Bugs love to look out the front window especially with the small bird feeder I had hanging attracting a few birds daily. Well today I have bought a bird feeding station to go in my front garden (just hope its not nicked!!) and am hoping that it will quickly get busy. This is hopefully going to be enrichment for the cats to be able to sit and watch them daily Also I love to see birds and am always worried about our native birds at this sort of time of year

Anyone else bought bird feeders to entertain their cats??

P.S my cats are indoors so wont be a threat to the birds at the station is of the type that cats can't get to the birds so neighbourhood cats shouldnt be a ris either

I have feeders in the back garden which Meeko finds very entertaining,I also have a window feeder which not only attracts birds but also some field mice,Now thats entertainment

He also has his regular fox visitors too.

Re: Bought a 'toy' for my cats.....

Very good idea If I had somewhere to put I would but can't put one outside the front window as there is a local tom that wanders up and down the path and can't put it at the back window as the neighbours tortie girl comes to say hello to Jaffe .

I would love to get something like that to entertain Seb, but as Frankie goes out he'd be eating even more birds

Re: Bought a 'toy' for my cats.....

Well I am hoping it is safe from cats.... its just a pole with a stake in the ground and some feeders hanging from it. I go it from Lidl for £9.99 I suppose no bird table/feeding station is 100% cat proof but there is nowhere for the cat to hide behind to pounce and nowhere really for it to jump onto.

pic off box of feeder as its too dark outside to get photo
