How often do you...?

Just curious really

So, how often do you....

1. Clean your cat(s) bowls thoroughly?

2. Clean your cat(s) litter tray thoroughly, including washing out/drying etc?

3. Groom your cat(s)?

4. Wash your cat(s) bedding?

5. Check over your cat(s) including nail trims if required, eyes cleaning, ear cleaning, bottom cleaning?

For me and my three:
1. Clean bowls weekly
2. Clean litter trays thoroughly weekly but scoop daily
3. Not very often. Have three short haired cats and only two enjoy being brushed. Tend to brush more in the summer months as I like to do it outside. I'd say monthly from May-September.
4. Probably once every couple of months or so when they're looking particularly hairy or grubby.
5. At least weekly.

1. Clean your cat(s) bowls thoroughly?
After every feed, so up to 6 times a day

2. Clean your cat(s) litter tray thoroughly, including washing out/drying etc?
Once every couple of weeks or more if necessary

3. Groom your cat(s)?
Whenever they let me!

4. Wash your cat(s) bedding?
My cats never use their bedding so never!

5. Check over your cat(s) including nail trims if required, eyes cleaning, ear cleaning, bottom cleaning?
Check over every day, eyes cleaned most days, ears only if necessary and I've never cleaned their bottoms - they do that themselves. I've only just started nail trimming too so that's only been once.

Re: How often do you...?

I have never had to clean the two boys bottoms but Lola the kitten (who we nickname 'smelly hola' ) always has a smelly bottom. It's never dirty but it always smells. Because she was separated from her mother so young I don't think she's realised that she needs to do it yet. I've emptied her anal glands and there's no problems there, she just has a smelly bum! Not nice.

Never have to---it's a Litter Robot and cleans itself. The only thing left inside is dust, which would be there anyway, and the waste drops into a bag so no fuss, no muss.

3. Groom your cat(s)? a few times a week--basically when they are in my lap and the brush is handy

4. Wash your cat(s) bedding? Every few months

5. Check over your cat(s) including nail trims if required, eyes cleaning, ear cleaning, bottom cleaning? Informally every time one is in my lap

blah blah blah. Apparently I have to say something in the body of the message, not in the quoted part, or it won't accept it as valid.

Re: How often do you...?

1. Clean your cat(s) bowls thoroughly?
Nuked in the dishwasher after each meal for the bowls. For the treat balls, dry food maze, water fountain etc at least once a week

2. Clean your cat(s) litter tray thoroughly, including washing out/drying etc?
Scoop at least thrice daily, complete scrub out once a week but just changed litters so maybe a bit longer now...

3. Groom your cat(s)?
Weekly minimum for the ocicats who love a zoom groom even when they don't need it. Not sure yet for Sybil - probably going to be daily brush and detailed session on the weekends .

4. Wash your cat(s) bedding?
I vacuum it regularly and do any covers weekly but the harder stuff is washed once a month or so.

5. Check over your cat(s) including nail trims if required, eyes cleaning, ear cleaning, bottom cleaning?
Nail trimming as needed but checked daily, eyes checked daily and used to not have to worry about ears/bottoms. Sybil will have ear wipes probably weekly and sadly has had her bottom wiped twice today

Re: How often do you...?

So, how often do you....

1. Clean your cat(s) bowls thoroughly?

After every feed. He eats off a porcelain side plate so it's easy.

2. Clean your cat(s) litter tray thoroughly, including washing out/drying etc?
Scoop 2x a day and full change and wash once a month.

3. Groom your cat(s)?
Every two weeks he gets his claws clipped. He rarely lets me groom his fur; he prefers chewing on the brushes.

4. Wash your cat(s) bedding?
Every 6 months.

5. Check over your cat(s) including nail trims if required, eyes cleaning, ear cleaning, bottom cleaning?
No set schedule, he climbs all over me when I'm in bed anyway and he feels inclined to shove his bottom in my face, so I'll know if his bottom is not clean.

Re: How often do you...?

1. Clean your cat(s) bowls thoroughly?
They get a clean bowl with every meal

2. Clean your cat(s) litter tray thoroughly, including washing out/drying etc?
Varies, depending on how messy they are, often change the tray and put the used litter in the fresh tray, well seived to remove all lumpy bits.Trays washed when they look like they need it.

3. Groom your cat(s)?
Every day, they like it, even if not much hair comes out.

4. Wash your cat(s) bedding?
One has clean bedding daily, the other about every 2 - 4 weeks

5. Check over your cat(s) including nail trims if required, eyes cleaning, ear cleaning, bottom cleaning?
Every day for eyes, ear checking, bum checked at least once. Nails trimmed at vets when needed.

Re: How often do you...?

So, how often do you....

1. Clean your cat(s) bowls thoroughly? Daily in the dishwasher. Water fountain once a week

2. Clean your cat(s) litter tray thoroughly, including washing out/drying etc? every 6 - 8 weeks

3. Groom your cat(s)? rarely - Siamese are very low maintainence in that respect

4. Wash your cat(s) bedding? Daily when we have kittens. About once a month otherwise

5. Check over your cat(s) including nail trims if required, eyes cleaning, ear cleaning, bottom cleaning? All the time. Since they spend a good deal of their day on my lap they have to put up with such indignities They do a very good job of cleaning each other though
