Re: I need creative answers please

I thought about the possibility of adding zykline to her food (excuse spelling!) or some rescue remedy in her water.

I think she needs a more intensive socialisation like has been suggested.

You have said that you and your sister both really want her settled... Could either of you foster her for a while to make her ready for a family home?

Re: I need creative answers please

At the moment we canīt take her in, canīt have more cats and we spend all day working. Reading all your replies, has given me an idea. My aunt has two cats and a big house, Iīd like to ask her if she can put her up in the atic and have her there for a few months (hoping for total love after). So she can talk to her and sit by her a bit daily like you all suggested. So fingers crossed please.

Re: I need creative answers please

Ok, I just sent a long email with all your suggestions to the shelter president, vet and 3 cat loving friends to see how we can solve this assap. I also sent an email to my aunt, I hope she says yes as she lives close to me and I can help out. I really hope to get the cat out of the predicament.

Re: I need creative answers please

Your aunt is just the kind of person this cat needs.
Someone who can spare the time and patience to spend time with her without pushing her in any way, allowing her to adapt at her own pace.

You know, once your aunt manages to socialize her, if she takes her on, she might not even need rehoming, your aunt might have a third, very loving and devoted, if possibly still rather independent, cat.

Re: I need creative answers please

Thatīs my idea too. The problem is that one of her cats Gus does not like new additions but I hope she says yes as atleast she can have her in a seperate room. She works too but gets home earlier than I do and she is an animal lover.
