Re: My cat is an a**hole!

Jumpy will be a little monster when he's older! He can be so loving and purry and will jump into your arms when he wants to be held, but if you pick him up suddenly to take him away from danger, for example, he will make a very cross meow and can lash out!! You can feel him tense up if you hold him dangling, he hates it!! The noises he made when the vet took his temperature were so loud, you'd think he was being tortured!!

Hope to neuter him as soon as he's old enough (5 months at this vet) to minimise behaviour problems later on!!

MoggyBaby I only meant it in jest. Hope I didn't offend. I love him and the fact that they all have their own little characters.
Today we had a little bonding as he sat at the foot of my bed whilst I ate spaghetti and then I gave him a little lick from my finger
MoggyBaby, notsure and Treaclesmum like this.

I've seen other posts that you have made and I know that you didn't mean it in an offensive way.

I just think that, whilst there are lots of names I may sometimes call my cats, there are some I never could no matter what they did to me.

Although Merson has pushed me to the limits on more than one occasion...

As McSquirtle is a Junior member, he probably didn't realise the phrase could be taken as offensive or anything

Junior member is the tally of posts made, not age category. Over a certain number posts becomes a Senior Member.

I'm a 22 year old female veterinary nurse! Not a 'junior' unfortunately Glad you understood that I meant no offence. It was just meant to be a light hearted post.
I am quite new here but hoping to pick up and give more advice and meet new people

Re: My cat is an a**hole!

BaBS was an unwanted cat that I took in last Septemer. Never really wanted a cat and was going to get a dog.. anyway long story. Babs is spoilt rotten now and is much loved > Basically shes spoilt rotten and still I get no affection as such. Yes she follows me everywhere but will not let me stroke her or pet her in any way. She jumps on my bed during the night and kneads my hand with her head which I understand is some form of affection but thats it , nothing else. Strange thing is though I dont mind , all the money care and attention she gets and nothing but when I watch her sleeping and the things she gets upto just makes me smile so much I dont care. I love her to bits , funny people eh these cat people , knew I should have had a dog !

Re: My cat is an a**hole!

Rumble is nasty little a**hole most of the time. He bites and scratches and is generally just quick to anger.. one minute he is purring the next all 4 claws and his teeth are clamped around your arm. And if you remove him he doesnt just wander off, he waves his tail angrily then launches himself at you for round 2... He does not know fear, and would rather fight than take flight. If he is in the way and i try to nudge him with my foot to get him to move cos he is being ignorant, he wont just move like a normal cat... nope, his tail starts swishing then he goes fully on the attack.

When i've had guests who arent keen on or are scared of cats he seems to know instantly and terrorises them.... even jumping up on to the high shelves so he can launch himself accross the room at their heads (if they are silly enough to sit within range of the high shelves.
He's constantly pestering, chasing or attacking my other 3 cats too.
But i wouldnt have him any other way, he's so funny and he does have rare moments where he goes all soft and curls up on my lap like a normal cat!
He is always the first to greet me when i come home or when i get up in the mornings
