Ugh - comments like that make my blood boil! The last time someone said that to me was when we were discussing indoor vs outdoor (mine are indoor) and they said that it didn't matter if they weren't pedigree. My response was "I'm half Colombian, half English - should I have just been allowed to free roam as a child too?" Same goes for food - "Should my parents have just fed me on junk food instead?"

when i was deciding whether to keep mine indoor or not, i was on my way to town for shopping, then i seen a cat get run over, mind was mind up, they will be indoor cats, i got told that it was cruel to keep them indoors, which is why i was considering maybe them being outdoor cats, then after this happened, outdoor world became the cruel option, they get plenty of stimulation from the indoor world anyway, they dont have a big fancy activity centre, but only because they get too hyper im afraid it would fall on them but they have a cardboard box world made out of the boxes their food comes in lol plus they run to the other side of the house whenever the door goes anyway, and shadow definitely wouldnt cope outside, he ran away from a spider a few days ago i want the best for my little kitties, it peees me offf sooo much when people assume im mad because of it! even people i know that have their own cats think its a bit silly going all out for them, each to their own opinion i guess but any cat that im to own isnt gonna be fed the cheapest of the cheap no wayy as soon as i switched from whiskas to a higher quality one i could see the difference, shiny coat, more alert, they also dont beg for food as much, so i know they are getting enough to fill them, no way id go back to feeding junk food now. wooo long post that isnt even about price of moggys anymore... sooryyy

Re: How much to pay for a moggie?

Here moggies are free and pedigrees rare. I know one person with a pedigree and she no longer breeds. Actually I was just asked if I wanted a white kitten today hmmmm the o/h is the cat nut so i will leave it up to him. Of course they won't have their shots so that would be the first thing and second and third then spaying so even a free kitty costs a fair bit of money in the beginning. My old girl is 16 almost 17 and I have two 4 year olds sisters rescued at 3 weeks
