Any good tips for draughtproofing cat flap?

I fitted mine in the summer but now that the weather's got cold I'm really noticing the baltic breeze that comes in to the kitchen!

It has a small magnet at the bottom so it doesn't flap about in windy weather, but most of the draught seems to come through the top and sides.

Has anyone got anything nifty they do to combat the problem, as I'm seriously considering just decommissioning it and taping it shut till the weather gets warmer!

Re: Any good tips for draughtproofing cat flap?

I have the same problem I have a microchip catflap, the door doesn't flap open but I get so much draught through the little gaps around it's door especially when it's windy out. Sorry, I haven't got any tips but the OH said he'll put his thinking cap on, could be waiting forever

I've thought about some draught excluder tape, but a bit worried it may stop it from letting my Frankie in, so won't chance it.

I got a tunnel attachment with mine that you sandwich between the two bits if you have a thick door. I might trim that down and try it. Might plug the gaps a bit.
