Re: domestic long hair
Persian cats are high-maintenance pets. Because of their long, dense fur, they need to be combed daily with a metal comb. Persians moult heavily twice a year, and shed some hair all year around. They are not suitable for people who are allergic to cats.

Re: domestic long hair
Long hairs do not neccessarily moult all the time, if brushed on a regular basis moult is more minimal x
i have 11 long haired cats in my house, 1 long haired mog and the rest maine coons, i rarely see a huge amount of moulting, in fact i don't even have to hoover everyday!! xx if nothing came off on you she may not be a huge moulter so i wouldn't worry too much x obviously differences in weather if she'll be outside cat will affect her moulting a little, but with good brushing each week i suspect you won't have too much of a problem x |

Re: domestic long hair
Regular grooming will keep the moulting down but if you are really bothered by the fact you will get fur on your clothes/furniture then perhaps you would be better off with a shorter haired cat or perhaps a Sphynx.
