Re: Rethinking new kitten?

I'd go and see a GP - it sounds like this could be a medical problem rather then anything to do with your kitten.

If you've had cats before, it could be linked to the grief, or it could be that you are struggling without work to keep you going. Either way, I'd see your doctor about your problems and potential treatments before you rehome Draco.

I'd also contact the breeder, who should take him back if you can't keep him.

Re: Rethinking new kitten?

Don't really know what to say...?

At 8 weeks old little kitten is a bit too young to be away from Mum but if she's cuddling up to you and everything else then it sounds like she's getting on OK.

Is there any particular reason, feeling or thing that little kitten does that makes you upset?

In my opinion if you are struggling and feeling this way then yes maybe you should get her re-homed because if this continues it could start to affect her health, care, etc.

If you think it's just an adjustment issue then maybe hold out for a little longer to allow time to form a bond with thie little 1.

Not really sure what else to say...

Re: Rethinking new kitten?

Sadly you didnt read enough as she is 4-5weeks too young to leave her family, and yes its like having a puppy, so she will be bored out of her mind and might even leave to behavioural problems, same within pups, should have got 2 really.
