ive got SPICE back :D

Hey guys i have some great news!
its quite a long story actually, i posted on the general section about my mum a few months back, and ive updated about her http://www.petforums.co.uk/general-c...te-my-mum.html

And its about i have Spice now to cut a long story short, my mum was living with a voilent alcholic who was conning her out of all her money she moved in with him before all this happend cause she thought he was a nice person i moved out with my boyfriend, and she took my cats with her Sugar and Spice ( the cats in my avatar ) anyway when i realised what this guy was like who my mum was living with i wanted Sugar & Spice straight back but he wouldnt let me, so for 2 years ive been trying to my mum Sugar & Spice out of there.

i even have there names tattoo'd on my arm

Sadly last year Sugar (the white cat) got hit by a car and passed away, well Monday i went round with police and managed to get some of my mums things and Spice so im very over the moon about that! Shes 17 this year, i got her back gave her a bath, she was so well behaved dried her, and later that night brushed her checked her over for fleas & ear mites, ive front lined her and started her on worming tablets, her fur is so big and bushy because of being in the outdoors for 2 years, shes not been looked after very well ( not going to blame my mum, cause shes been treated badly by him and couldnt look after herself)

but giving her a bath i could see how thin she is and i could feel her spine, her eye has been watering but starting to get better she is very happy here though always purring her head off, she loves lying on the sofa's and our bed, and loves it when its food time

shes abit nervous though cause as you may all know i have 3 other cats Felix whos nearly 4 whos a female, Dodger who is 2 this year hes a male, and Splodge who i took in who i would say is about 2 years old and shes female. and my boyfriends dog.

She has been using the litter tray well , i have them large litter trays the ones with a cat flap on, at first ive been taking the flap off so she can just go inside, but ive been trying to put the flap back on so she can try and use it with the flap on, but ive noticed shes had a accident in the bedroom had a poo, and i think a wee, so now ive put just a basic tray in the bedroom.

can anyone give me any advice on this?

Also ive only had her since monday, the 3 cats have been hissing, spitting and growling at her, and one of them have been nervous round her but it has all started to carm down abit, im just hoping in over a week they will all start to get along, she likes her own space cause obviously shes old, but i give her plenty of fuss, i love her so much and glad shes with me again, ive had her since i was 2 years old

ill post some picture of her in the cat section

Re: ive got SPICE back :D

Hi really pleased for u and glad you got ur childhood pal back at last.I myself recently took on a older cat (at least ten years) very similar thing very thin not that clear on her legs. I asked about these all singing and all dancing trays before i got her i was advised because they have to croch down trying to get in the tray then try and position themselves and most r too weak in the back end to do it. I have a normal tray and Evie has hit the bulls eye every time. I would recommend a tray in the bathroom. hope this helps.

awww so glad that you got them back, hope your mum got out of their to?

r.e. the flap leave it off, alot of cats cant get out and panic (have actually heard of kitten/cats getting traped and dying ) and she maybe gedtting scared with it on hence the pooping outside, so I always take mine off, doesnt stop the smell or tracking.

so glad she is back! big huggies for her!

Re: ive got SPICE back :D

I remember your original post but hadn't spotted your update until now.

So pleased you've got both mum and cat out of there. There are some truely evil and manipulative people in the world and it can be incredibly difficult to deal with when they get their hands on someone vulnerable - you must have been very determined and persistent. You have my admiration.

Hope things improve for you all from now on.

Don't forget to take care of yourself too.

xx
