Re: Another happy ending

Not impressed as I caught him red handed having a pee under the stairs this morning I knew one cat had at least been spraying there, tho' I'd been blaming Dexter from next door as I once caught him spraying against the hoover, but it seems he's probably innocent and has been chased out for nothing

Hmmm, I can say for definite he's been neutered, what I saw *down there* must have been post op swelling, which makes this situation all the more strange. If I'd lost then found a cat and gone to the trouble of having him done, then him disappearing again but having a very, very good idea of where he was with the means of asking, I'd have done so by now. His owners silence is more than a tad 'ing imo, even if she's lost my phone number she knows where I live having called to pick him up in the first place.

He may well have been chipped as well, tho' I can't feel it if he has. I'm thinking of putting a collar/ID barrel on him with my phone number enclosed, along with a message asking his owner to just change the details, with a suggestion that he be kept in for at least 2 weeks should he ever go back.

Unfortunately he's really settled here again, not going out as much and loving the playfights with Bola. I'm not locking the flap to keep him out as my lot are too used to having 24/7 access.

Aw. I guess you must have left him with a heavy heart. But never mind. Indeed a happy ending

A happy ending when he was picked up by his real owner, but it didn't last as he was back here within 24 hours of going home and is back again after being neutered, presumably by his owner.

'EDIT'

I take it back, he might look bad tempered but is as soft as they come. I couldn't resist shouting him and out of the shed he trotted wanting chin rubs.

The ginger tom has just shown up again and as 2 of my ungrateful lot had only 1/2 eaten their chicken wings, I gave him what was left. I can't be sure, but judging by the chomping but no crunching sounds, he's either got teeth trouble atm or perhaps had some removed. I ended up taking them off him as it was pitiful watching him trying and failing to eat something he obviously wanted.

Ian
Even tho' I'm sure he has a home nearby, this ginger tom is now spending a lot of time in my shed, especially overnight as there's a choice of warm and dry boxes to choose from.

He's as friendly as they come and loves a head or chin rub. He hasn't tried the flap yet, not that I've seen anyway, but I can't leave the door open if he's around as he's straight inside. I feel the need for another paper collar coming on to let his owners know where he's spending all his time when not at home.

I have heard of Babe Magnets in the past but you are the first Feline Magnet that I have come across. Ginger does look nice though so you certainly seem to attract the good lookers

There's definitely a strong cat magnet at work here, I just wish I knew where it was

You wouldn't believe the amount of cats who somehow find their way into my garden, some of who get as far as using the flap. Besides the ginger tom, there's Tatty Tom and it seems he has a twin, a black cat who's all but identical to Tatty tho' I know is a little bigger now I'm used to seeing him.

There's also a lovely little Felix-alike who's been sneaking in over the past couple of weeks and always heads straight for the dining room. I don't know why as besides being scared of me and terrified of my lot, there's rarely any food left out there to tempt him/her in.

Two cats from across the road would spend as much time here as at home if I let them, another black tom and a sadly pregnant (again) tabby.

Lastly of the current lot, there's a out and out thief (yet another black tom) from a house on the next road who raids any leftover food if I'm not quick enough to clear away after my lot have finished eating.

You mean Bosley

He's turned out to be a proper home loving, good with trays and non destructive cat after being neutered, the pity is it's here and not with his real owners. If they ever got in touch and took him back I reckon he'd be the same there, if they'd only make the effort to ensure he was kept in for a few weeks.
