Betrayal!!!!

Our youngest, Flea, is an ex-feral and is quite "sensitive" (as my OH puts it Lol!). She is very affectionate and sweet, but we tend to tiptoe around her (minimal loud noises, no sudden movements etc). This morning, I had to give her her deworming pill. She is quite placid and submitted to it, but was obviously upset. She kept on following me around afterwards and giving me these tragic looks. Do yours also view medicine dosing as an act of betrayal? Oh bless her tabby socks.

Re: Betrayal!!!!

Don't feel bad - it was for her own good. I tend to think when most cats are cross with you they hide from you, or make a point of ignoring you. The fact she is looking at you is a good sign! Prob because you feel guilty you're looking in those cute eyes and seeing betrayal, she probably just wants a good scratch behind the ears x

Re: Betrayal!!!!

Merson is so used to getting tablets down his neck that he feels neglected when he doesn't get one......

Moggybaby you are one lucky slave. I still remember one time when I sweated profusely and spent almost 30 mins. Ihave now ordered de pill popper, which I hope does not harm him.

Where can I get a pill popper? Always up for finding new ways to avoid getting my eyes scratched out!

I do confess that I am fairly lucky - the OAP's pretty much let me do what I like to them.

I don't think I'll have many problems with McGee either, in the future, but I think Abby will be a little madam. She won't even let me clean the sleep out of her eyes. But, on saying that, I can't recall there being any bother when I gave her her worming tablet a few months back.....
