Cat restraining bag

Does anyone in the UK have one of these?

Not for shampooing, one of the stronger ones for keeping kitty still for medicating, nail clipping etc.

I have only seen them for sale in the US, surely someone sells them in the UK?

Re: Cat restraining bag

I ordered one from the US, through ebay, brand name "Top Performance". I assume that is the one you are referring to? It is a well made product, but I still haven't been able to get Nunu, my most agreeable cat, in it. He takes the line of passive resistance and stiffens his legs so I cannot for the life of me get him into the bag. So, it is back to the vet's for nail clipping. Does anyone have advice on how to get kitties into the bag? I haven't even tried with my hellcat female or the ex-feral.

Re: Cat restraining bag

I was going to try a version of 'Clipnosis', something else that doesn't seem to be available in the UK but on Tanyas CRF site suggested use of clothes pins (pegs) instead.

I can get my Bob into a carrier easily, but never been able to wrap him in a towel. Does the bag open up all the way so it can go flat or do you have to feed the cat into it?

Maisie is resistant to a carrier and becomes an octocat, but I managed to get her into a Tbag carrier (like a little nylon shoppping trolley) although might have been a one-off :-) She really needs her nails clipping.

Re: Cat restraining bag

Someone posted a link to a similar product from Amazon. It was on the Feline asthma thread that I started.
I'll have a look for you.

Re: Cat restraining bag

Thanks Tyrole, still hoping to find a UK based supplier but I don't think that will happen.

Re: Cat restraining bag

Aww, thanks, I wish I had seen this earlier, I ordered one from the US and it's the same one.

Am not holding out a lot of hope of it working for either of them, he can be very stroppy, even when he is off colour and t'other one is a wriggler.
