Re: cat not pooing

Okay Hobbs will help me out on this one but 50% of her diet being just chicken breast is not good for her, it's not complete. Dry (IMHO) isn't good for her either. A wet diet is always better than a dry diet. ANd if you are going to make a homemade diet you may as well make it raw and complete. There is a sticky at the top of the forum.

Re: cat not pooing

Spot on Spid!

I would completely rethink her diet; move her away from dry food and the homecooked diet, which really isn't complete food no matter what the rescue might have told you, and back on to commercial wet cat food. She might have left the food in the rescue because it wasn't "her" food or perhaps they put too much down for her and she is more of a grazer.

Unfortunately, that really doesn't help you right now but my guess is that she is constipated because of the food you are feeding. Do you know whether she eats tinned oily fish? Say pilchards in tomato sauce or sardines in oil? Often feeding cats some of that helps them "go" but it is really her diet that needs addressing from this point onwards.

Re: cat not pooing

The best you will find in Asda is toplife but they only do a chicken variety. Most of the best foods you have to purchase online.

Re: cat not pooing

Well done. Obsessing about poo is one of the delights of cat ownership . By this time, I even know who did which poo by the various styles, sizes and "look" of the poos. Lol!
