Advice needed

Hi all

Thanks for looking.

Milly and Tilly are going into the vets to get spayed at the end of this month, yes I'm already worrying I was just wondering would you put them in the same cat carrier, (they are used to going in the same one measurements L 56 W 38 H 39 cms) or would you put them in separate cat carriers? If I need separate one I will get one this week as they are due at vets next week for flea/worming so they can go separate then so wouldn't be as stressful for them at the end of the month. If that makes sense

Looking forward to your comments

Many thanks

Jo

Re: Advice needed

I would go for seperate carriers ,especially for after their op as they will possibly come home with buster collars on.It is probably a good idea to have two carriers for the future in any case.

Re: Advice needed

Besides, they may still be a bit groggy and bump into each other....

On the other hand,it may be comforting for them to be together, if that's what you usually do....

Re: Advice needed

When I collected Harry and Sabrina from the rescue I took two cat carriers, but they suggested I put them both in the one for comfort.

I have since bought a larger folding carrier designed for medium sized dogs, so they can continue to travel together and comfort each other, but not be squashed up!

The vet was very impressed with it when I took them for their check up

Don't know if I would do the same after an operation though... Maybe ask your vet for advice?

Re: Advice needed

Eek, mine both shared a Catit Cabrio carrier last time, I forgot to even think about if I'd need a second carrier and they're getting spayed on the 16th of Jan. >.< What do you think?

Re: Advice needed

When I had mine done I had the 2 babies in one, and Willow in another - I asked about needing a third to pick them up in case they had collars on and the vet said they should be fine in just the two.
The girls both had collars on, but it was one collar per carrier, so not sure about sizes if they both have collars on in one carrier

Thank you, I have ordered one today, even if the vet advises that it's better to put them in separate carriers for their op it'll still come in handy for later trips.
