Smile Please help! Mature cat in real need!!!!

Somebody I know has to leave her home with a garden and is moving to live in a small flat where no animals are allowed. For 2 months now she has been trying to find a new loving home for her cat Tiger who is about 8/9 years old and has only ever had the one home. She is heartbroken at having to leave him behind. It has now become urgent as she is moving on Monday 9th January and this poor cat has no new home. She was hoping that she did not just have to drop him at a shelter and leave him there. Being the age he is she is afraid that being taken away from his home and his owner into a shelter might have a really bad affect on him and his health. He is a beautiful cat, just needs a loving home and a Cosy armchair to sit on. He is easy going and mixes with other cats easily.

If anybody knows of someone that might just consider taking him in then we would be eternally grateful. Come the weekend he has to go one way or the other and his owner is distraught over it.

Please help if you can. Tiger is based in London.

Keeping everything crossed that you may just be able to help us.

So sorry to hear of your friends plight. I am afraid I am of no use as my old boy would never accept another cat in his house. I really hope someone can help and a forever home is found in time

She could take him with her and providing he is indoors and doesn't sit in the window who's to know.

I tend to agree with everyone,I would take him and just keep him in,no one need know. Also has she approached a shelter/any shelter, to see whether they will have space for him, most shelters are full to bursting.

This is true, most have waiting lists to accept cats. I'd also suggest sneaking him in, many of us here have indoor cats and, though I wouldn't recommend taking on new pets without your landlords permission, if it were me and I'd already got him I'd be trying to sneak him in. Especially given the current cat situation and his poor chances of being rehomed even if a shelter can be found for him.
