Travelling with a kitten

We may need to take our kitten to my parents house with us at Christmas. It's a fairly long journey (5.5 hours on the train, then 20min drive).

What happens about going to the toilet for her?
Do some carriers have litter areas?
Any suggestions please?

Is this too long a journey?

Re: Travelling with a kitten

We regularly travelled to Scotland (5 hrs) with out cat (he was about 3 months old the first time) and he was fine - we withheld food and water about 4 hrs beforehand and apart from an initial meow he slept the whole way there in his cat carrier - no mess either - cat's are good like that.

Thank you! That has put my mind at rest. She is generally very good in her carrier and didn't meow once even the first time we collected her which was a half-hour drive. Fingers crossed
