Is it the weather?

Does the cold weather make a difference to how much cats eat? My 20month old, Gem, seems to have lost her appetite the last few weeks and only eats a little now and again. I wondered if it was because the weather was cold and she is not going out and about now, but sleeps most of the time. Or could it be because she is missing her little sister who we had to have put to sleep suddenly a few weeks ago?

Re: Is it the weather?

I think it is probably more like grief - my lot are wolfing it down at the mo - have you tried a feliway or pet rescue diffuser, it might help her.

Re: Is it the weather?

Thanks spid. I have the Feliway spray which I hadn't thought to use, but I will think about buying the plug in diffuser and see if it helps.
