Cat trees

Yesterday my Cookie found she could go from the TV stand to the window sill and cause a bit of havoc with the vertical blinds, she got caught in the bottom chains, so I would prefer her not to go on there. She seems to have taken a liking to being high up, sleeps a lot on the top of the sofa.

So I am checking out these cat trees but most don't look very stable, does anyone have recommendations for a decent one.

Thank you and merry Christmas.

Re: Cat trees

Kalven's are very sturdy Kalven cat scatching posts and poles
but not cheap; I have a couple of his,one of which is 10 years old and still going strong and with six Ragdolls that is no mean feat!

Zoo Plus do quite a range with various prices but I like these
Large Cat Trees: great selection at zooplus: Banana-Leaf Cat Tree Paradise Duo

Re: Cat trees

I would also recommend Kalven. they last for ever and you can get replacement bits. They've been loved by humungous wegies raggies and persians over the years. the zooplus one we have in comparison is very unstable and no where near as well made. It won't last long

Re: Cat trees

Just tried to send an order but not sure it worked as it was supposed to open a confirmation window, so I'll leave it until after the holidays.

But great to have a recommendation, shame the company doesn't come up in google searches though. Almost bought a more expensive one on eBay yesterday, so glad I didn't.

Re: Cat trees

I've never seen those Kalven trees before - they look really cool and decidedly more sturdy than what we currently have (from Zooplus - it's ok but tends to rock a little bit).

Added to my list of kitty wants, guess it will never end
