Do your cats...

Do your cats tolerate each other or have that special relationship? I have four cats, Dizzy is a loner who tolerates the others, Elvis wants to be top cat and spends too much of his time trying to dominate the others and then there is Syd and Lilly, they really dont need anyone else, they adore each other, they are either sleeping together, playing together or cleaning each other. When we brought Lilly into the house as a tiny kitten Syd hissed at her and ran away, we literally had to drag him in to feed for two weeks, then she worked her magic on him and now they adore each other, they really would be lost without each other. So how are your cats together?

Re: Do your cats...

One pair tolerate each other at best. We took the boy in when my girl was around 6 maybe. After 8 years she still takes swipes at him and refuses to be nice. He doesnt have an issue with her, mostly keeps his distance so he doesnt get bullied.

Second pair are sisters, we recently got them at 9 months old. They play together, occassionally sleep together or groom each other but most the time arent together. Im sure they would get a bit anxious if they were to be properly parted for a while.

Re: Do your cats...

My three appear to be very close to each other, they have their rough and tumbles moments but on the whole their relationship with each other is harmonious. Duke our dog to this day believes he is the cats dad.
