new kitty
Well.. maybe some of you remember my thread I posted few days ago about new kitty.. It ended up as I wasnt getting it but.. I couldnt stop thinking about this little man and how happy Charlie would be if we got him a friend..
So.. We picked up our little colourpoint BSH - Dennis last night and also introduced him to Charlie.. They sniffed each other.. Charlie seemed to be more scared than Dennis, which was rather hilarious ![]() Then Charlie got a bit cocky.. started poking little Dennis with his paw, it didnt look like he was hurting, or even trying to hurt Dennis, it looked like he was tryin to get his attention and play with him.. Eventually Dennis let Charlie touch him.. There was some meowing but nothing serious.. But then Charlie started playing a little bit rough.. I mean.. It hurts me when he digs into my skin with his claws or teeth, which are really sharp, so I assumed this little 12 weeks old kitty must be in so much pain.. Ive uploaded 3 videos of them playin.. Well.. i hope they are playin ![]() It worries me that Charlie is being so rough with him and I really dont want any of the kitties to get hurt.. Re: new kitty
awh so cute
Charlie is being a wee bit rough - I would keep them apart when not supervised until they are a little more equal in size Dennis isn't freaking out or showing signs of being actually hurt just a tad ticked off remember he has plushy fur to protect against much of the play biting and claws, he seems more than happy t o fend Charlie off when needed and importantly - Charlie listened to the body language and backed downI think within a week they will be inseperable

Re: new kitty
Yep, I agree.
They are both very very cute! We have two kittens who have now been with us for about 4 weeks and honestly, you wouldn't believe the way they pull each other about! They are not from the same litter (same breeder) and so didn't really know each other before they moved in with us as they were kept separate. It took them a few days to get used to each other once here but now they are inseparable. I bet it won't be long before your two are the same, but first off Dennis needs to get used to being away from every thing he is familiar with and settle in to his new home ![]() By the way, prepare yourself for total mayhem and chaos as soon as Dennis really settles in ![]() |

Re: new kitty
thank you all for the posts.. both of them are very special to me.. i want them to be best friends
![]() it makes me laugh that when Charlie is coming towards Dennis, and Dennis just lays on his back ready for Charlie to play with him.. Or if Charlie walks away from Dennis and not paying him attention, the little one starts meowin so loud that Charlie runs back at him to play with him.. I didnt want to leave them by themselves earlier today when I was going to have a shower so I took charlie with me, as he would normally follow me himself.. But no.. He wanted to stay with his little mate, when I shut the door he just started meowin so loud I had to let him out! ![]() Im happy they are getting on.. I would like to pick one or the other for a cuddle, give them so attention but I dont want the other one to get jealous.. Have you got any advice regarding this issue?
