Re: Charlie is a Bengal :-o

all cats go through a teenage phase when they get to 6-9months old, from not wanting a hug to pushing the boundrys, like dogs/humans etc, you find they may settle after 12-18months, just depends on the cat

Re: Charlie is a Bengal :-o

There is hope then!!
Thanks ever so much for your replies... I did wonder if he might have become a 'teenager' so I'll cross everything that he grows out of it!
I've also confiscated any stuffed toys that might contain catnip and made him a bed in a different room tonight. I have to say, this is the last time I'm going to put up with being attacked whilst asleep; my arm looks awful and bruised and scarred after last night so if he tries anything today I'm closing the door and putting headphones in!!!

Re: Charlie is a Bengal :-o

My three cats sleep in extra large dog crates fully equipped, they have slept in crates from being kittens. It means they can rest and so can I.

We start our mornings at 5:00am, any later and they give me an alarm call (start singing).

We have an outdoor pen for them to play in and my lads love the da bird toy that distracts them for ages. A laser light may also help him burn off excess energy.

Have you thought about getting a friend for your boy. All mine are indoor cats, and burn off energy together rather than taking it out of me.
