Kitten spayed today

I picked up my kitten from the vet an hour ago, she has been spayed. They said we should try to limit her jumping about but I can't stop her! She seems fine, in herself, although I feel guilty for putting her through the operation!
How do I stop her jumping about? Or licking her stitches?

Thanks

She had a brief lick of the stitches but doesn't seem too bothered by them.

She's leaping around as if nothing had happened!

Re: Kitten spayed today

It's a good sign she's herself after the op! I think it would be quite difficult to stop her from jumping up and down. My Little Miss Messi came home with a cone collar, but promptly wriggled herself out of it and refused to have it on. We were more worried about her being too drowsy from the anaesthetic, but on hindsight, we didn't have to as she was her cheeky playful self the day she came home! She did lick her wound, but we kept a close eye on it and thankfully, all was find. The worst thing was getting used to the square bald patch in her!!!

Re: Kitten spayed today

Mine were done on Friday and had cones on til yesterday.
If she leaves her stitches alone definitely dont put a cone on her - the girls hated them!

They were also wrestling with Rowan and jumping everywhere and are fine.

Rowan was mega hyper, probably because his op was so much smaller and he was only under for about 5 mins - he kept pouncing on the girls which worried me, but all is OK and healing is going well
