Re: appeal for elderly cats owners!

So sad...
Poor cat.
I hope the owner will be traced, but I fear the cat may well belong to someone no loner able to care for her (maybe moved to hospital or an old people's home, taken in by one of the children, or maybe even died) and the relatived just couldn't be bothered to look after the cat....

Many of the cats that are actually being brought into the rescues, rather than being chucked out, are from old people who cannot care for them any more, so the relatives, who will not take them, dump them at the rescues.

I will be making provisions in my will that if any relatives want my cash & assets, then they must also have the cat(s). So technically, I will be leaving the inheritance to the cats....

I will also ensure that if the cat happens to 'expire' within a period of time (certain types of illnesses excepted) then the remaining funds will be donated to cat rescues.

Re: appeal for elderly cats owners!

Brilliant idea. My will takes account of my cats. If all else fails there is always the option of the RSPCA thing but I would advise caution there if you can possibly make individual arrangements. Has anyone else noted their very careful wording "we will do our best to rehome......" So, if their best fails - what then?
