Hi again everyone,
Well typical as I've just posted how well Noodle is doing now that something would go wrong. I took him in to be neutered today and mentioned that he'd been slightly fussy with his food the past few days. Well, got home from dropping him off and I got a phone call from the vets to say that they're not going to operate due to the fact that he's got a high temperature and an enlarged bowel.
Now, I asked to speak to the vet when I went to collect him and he was particularly unhelpful today. I contemplated changing vets last time I took Noodle to them because of his generally unhelpful attitude (not to mention the really long lecture I got when I told him I fed wet food and not dry

) but I gave them another chance.
The vet wouldn't really give me any idea at all of what could have caused the problems or what I could do to try and resolve it. The vet almost made me feel silly for worrying about my poor kitten, or even asking to speak to him at all. Noodle was given an antibiotic injection and a painkiller and I was sent on my way £50 lighter, really knowing nothing at all about what's wrong with him.
Just got Noodle back, thinking that he must be starving as I've not given him any food since 6pm last night 'cause he was supposed to be neutered today, but he's only sniffed at his animonda and eaten a tiny amount of the roast chicken I put down, which he normally loves.
Does anyone have any ideas of what could be the matter? Is it just a little stomach bug? I haven't changed his food or anything that could have caused a reaction. Could it be a blockage of some sort? Although he has been going to the toilet regularly as normal.
Do you think I should go to a different vet when I re-book his neutering after Christmas? Or does anyone have any vet recommendations in the Manchester area?!
