Post good non smelling litters

hi
leo is using breeders choice, and it does not mask smells at all- as soon as he does a poo the smell wafts around the whole house!!!!!!!!!! and i am not home for most of the day so i can not clean the tray out as soon as he does a poo.
we are looking to see if we can find a new litter that does not track any where near as much as oko plus-
and if you know one, non clumping?
thanks for your help!

Re: good non smelling litters

I recommend Oz-Pet, It does not track or smell, and only starts to stink after 3 weeks!

Re: good non smelling litters

The back garden ....nah seriously, when I had a litter tray for tilly before he refused to use one and went out for his toilet i used one from the pet shop called sopisticat, it was great for covering the smell, it doesn't clump at all

Yeh the garden part was a joke... The sophisticat part as my advice lol....the sophisticat is about 4 quid a bag and the best i found in all I tried, i think you can get it t pets at home and most pet shops, it's a pinky colour and doesn't clump at all....also i never got a smell from it, the wood ones are good and they don't clump but as it's wood based it does change when it's wet so i used more with it and although tilly liked that more as a kitten I preferred the sophisticat for cleaning up

Re: good non smelling litters

I know you say you want non-clumping, but is that because of clumping being unsafe? If so, I'd suggest you consider Nature Gold. It's a pelletted form of Oko, so doesn't track, and as it's natural, if they eat it it won't do any damage to them, so is totally safe. It really doesn't smell at all. I have 4 trays on the go at once and you wouldn't know it. It lasts for ages too.
