Dry foods

Hey everyone! I know food is more to the health nutrition forum ,but i thought id ask here anyways ... feel free to move it mods if its really out of place.

Anyways ... out of curiosity, what dry food (if any) do people feed their cats?

My 3 have a mix of wet and dry just because 2 of mine like dry more than wet, theyre on a 50/50 sort of diet ... anyways, my dry is gocat ... not out of choice but simply because Alfie has a sensitive tum, and im scared to change him again ... even if i do it gradually it still upsets his tum ... ill prob try again after xmas, but i just want him to feel well for a while first ,had enough trouble finding him a half decent wet that he was ok with (Butchers classic)

Re: Dry foods

Mine eat both wet and dry too the dry I've started using now is royal canin fit32 I swapped to that because that's what Rosie was used to when I got her and her coat was really glossy and soft. Oscars coat has improved loads since I swapped! He used to be on purina and Iams

Where do you get that from? Can you get it from shops or just vets?

Re: Dry foods

I'm not a fan of dry food, but, unfortunately my Raggie is,so I reluctantly do allow him a limited amount of dry.I give him Orijen as a preference or Applaws ,both are grain free.Orijen is available in some pet shops, but is definitely available on Zoo Plus as is Applaws .Encore is the supermarket repackaged "Applaws",available in Sainsbury's.Go Cat is not a very good quality as you are probably aware.
raggie doll likes this.

Yes I realise it's not good quality, i just prefer my little un with the sensitive tum to just have some food in him rather than the sickness and diareah that comes with most new foods I try out

I will be trying out new foods after xmas, just want him to have a few weeks of some sort of nutrition rather than him losing food and water through him being ill.

Re: Dry foods

Order some pro kolin in as well, 1ml 3 times a day it'll help settle his stomach when you are changing over the foods. You can either put it in their food, get them to like it off you finger or put it on their paw.
