Litter Tray Recommendations

Hi. I have been adopted by a stray cat who has taken up residence in the barn next to the stables that I rent. I have asked around and no one knows who owns the cat. She has become incredibly friendly so I am hoping to bring her home next week - will take her to the vets to see if she has a microchip.

I will need a cat litter tray and wondered what sort would be best and any recommendations.

Thank you

Well bless you for taking her in, you will be rewarded a million times by her and endless love.. it is such a cold time of the year, she will love the comfort of your home..

I am sure many will give you advice on litter trays........ I just have the old type, big and deep and lots of them.................. which you may need as she may not be litter tray trained.............

I wish you both a lovely life together if you get to keep her,

PIC'S please when you can xxxx

Re: Litter Tray Recommendations

Hi and welcome to the forum.Firstly thank you for caring about this lost soul.As for the litter tray ,personally I would buy a decent ordinary open tray ,until you see how she settles. If she hasnt been used to a covered tray she may be reluctant to use one,and you dont want her to have any accidents If she seems shy you can always put it in a secluded corner or behind something for privacy.Good luck with her.

Re: Litter Tray Recommendations

She has got very thick fur and her tummy sticks out after she's eaten. No one seems to know where she came from, but she has become tame very quickly so I think she has had a nice home at some point. I will put posters up about her, maybe she is lost.

Re: Litter Tray Recommendations

Yes, I have thought of that buffie! We will get her spayed before letting her out if she's not already pregnant.
