Re: URGENT PLEASE HELP 4 cats missing

Well although the cats might not like it my suggestion would be they have to be kept in. I assume you have checked with the council that no bodies have been found? If not, it looks like something untoward is happening and there are some horrible stories of cats being taken for bait for fighting dogs and the like. If this is the case and these people know there are lots of cats they will be back so I would suggest that the cats are kept in for a bit and if the person can afford it then the garden needs to be cat proofed so the cats are enclosed.

Sorry to hear this, there are s ome evil scumbags in the world x

Re: URGENT PLEASE HELP 4 cats missing

I fully agree with Si.
There is little that can be done for the cats that have gone missing so far, unless you have an idea what has happened and who is responsible.
There are many more possible causes...
A cat hater poisoning them, someone catching cats to sell the fur (it seems tuxedo cats are popular for their fur) or for feeding them to big snakes, and if you are in the countryside, even some deranged hunter may be using them as target practice....
There may even be some fox or big raptor picking them off.....

I assume you have all reported your missing cats to the local vets and the RSPCA, and checked with the council if any dead cats have been found anywhere....

So the only thing you can do is protecting the remaining cats by not letting them roam free to fall victim to whoever or whatever is killing or taking them.

Re: URGENT PLEASE HELP 4 cats missing

I would have a word with all the people in the road where these cats have gone missing to see if they have seen anybody hanging a round the area.

I would notify the police. You never know they might help.
Also I agree with the others keep them in and cat proof the gardens.
It can be done quite easily and doesn't cost too much if you already have 6 foot fencing up.

Sorry to say this but every year it seems that there are more and more scum doing cruel and unspeakable acts on small defenceless animals, that i seems that the only way of keeping them safe is to cat proof gardens or keep them inside.

Re: URGENT PLEASE HELP 4 cats missing

When cats started dissapearing local to me we found out that several were also turning up at home then dying from poisoning, needless to say mine have been indoor cats ever since.

Re: URGENT PLEASE HELP 4 cats missing

It sounds very suspicious, call the police and the RSPCA/local vets and keep all cats in until it becomes known what is happening - like the others have said. It doesn't sound good really
