Re: We are Home

Thanks MB - I will get some tomorrow.

I feel so sorry for Willow - she seems to have taken it harder than Holly and she hates the collar.

My kitchen floor has been a swimming pool 3 times tonight where she has emptied the fountain, 'digging' out the water and drenching herself and everything else - any ideas why she would be doing this - shes never done it before

Re: We are Home

Glad everything went well Hopefully the collars can come off in a few days, Molly never had one and she really didn't bother with her stitches.

Oh hun, I really feel your pain. I was literally in tears watching mine in the collars. It completely changed their personalities and they were so depressed. I know it's heartbreaking, but if you can't watch them all the time then needs must. It won't be long, but I bet it will feel like the days are dragging in. You could maybe let them have the collars off when you are with them? I moved all their things into the room I was in and closed the door so they could be watched at all times.

Re: We are Home

I wish I could confine them and take at least Willows collar off, Holly doesnt seem that bothered by it now.

But we only have doors on our bedroom and the bathroom, and they all hate the doors being shut - the only time we shut them is if we have visitors

Re: We are Home

Glad they are okay and hope Willow feels better about the collar soon Poor girl It must be so hard for them to understand why they can't do the things they used to do without the collar on, so frustrating

Re: We are Home

She keeps trying to wash, but just gets the cone instead, then she shakes her head, and she is walking funny, like a ballerina, some of the time - I dont know who is more upset - me or her!

The next one is definitely going to be a boy!

Ha! I've already told the other half our next one is going to be an adult already spayed rescue cat. No way am I going through that again!

One of mine would only walk backwards with her head dragging along the floor round the edge of the room! I cried more in the first 3 days after spaying than I have in years

Re: We are Home

Glad all went well

Amber had internal stitches, so collar was needed. She had a look and a few licks of the the evening she came home and that was it.

Hopefully they will only need for a few days.

Re: We are Home

Glad everything went ok.
Chloe never had a collar and her stitches where the sort that desolved.
She never bothered nibbling at them and she had a midline spey.

Maybe you could try taking the collar off for a bit while you watch them.
