Re: maine coon advice please...

seriously everybody thankyou so much for all of this advice. my o/h just got home ofcourse we are cooing over every cat we pass! but i read out all posts mentioned here and it was very similar to what i was thinking.

the female 1 year old does sound like she will not like our busy household. if she doesnt do well with other cats though she was adoreable and age was perfect.

the older boy is very tempting, hes really gorgeous a big handsome chap. they are rehoming as her partner is allergic? o/h would love a male(i think its a masculine thing ) but at age 4 im worried hell push marley out?? shes very sociable and very playful... so hes still a maybe ... would a male and female cat get along okay? my girl has been done ofcourse.... not sure about the boy id have to find out.

the kittens are adoreable , and are pedigree...its not essential they are full pedigree...not to me anyway. but the o/h would really like a mc because of its size and im guessing the best way to insure is buying a pedigree.

just spoken to him and hes happy to put a deposit down and see if its okay with the seller if we can pick kitty up in january. now the hard part choosing

thanks so much for the advice our cat now does go out much not much... weve just discussed it and are probably thinking well keep our m.c as an indoor cat but take him/her on a harness if theyd like some air i cant say i would not be worrying about him/her being stolen or worse injured. xxx

They do not need to be outside cats, but I would'nt have anymore than 2 in our house unless we get a bigger one & they do not moult like a short hair cat, when they do shed they leave chunks of fur which is easy to pick up with your fingers
