Is My Cat in Season?
I adopted a stray cat in August who turned out to be pregnant. To cut a long story short she had her babies in September and they have all now gone to their new homes.
She gave birth to the kittens on 21 sept, the one we have kept does still have a bit of milk off her when she lets him. I have noticed over the past few days she is meaowing and talking a lot, and rolling around on the floor on her back. Is she in season? I have never had a cat in season before as I always get them spayed before this happens.
She doesn't go out at all and all my other cats are neutered so there's no chance of her getting pregnant, but I do want to get her spayed ASAP and need to know if I can have this done when she's in season or do I have to wait a certain time? I haven't had it done before as she was still feeding her kittens and was very thin - I wanted her to get back into condition before I put her through the operation.
Thanks for reading.
