Declawing cats is bad

Hi guys I just wanted to say DON'T DECLAW CATS!!! If you declaw them and they need to get away from a dog or something well if they try and climb up a tree they can't so they get ripped to pieces and they have no defense against predators. They not be able to scratch furniture but they may die earlier then they're suppose too, don't risk it.

Dear apparently infuriated Australians,

You're on a forum where the majority of users are from the UK - a country where it is ILLEGAL to declaw.

Much love,

People of the UK

Re: Declawing cats is bad

I dont have cats and de-clawing is illeagal here although Ive heard terrible tales of people taking their pets to east European countries or buying them from there so that they can have de-clawed cats, dogs with docked tails cropped ears ect..
I have to say people who go round chopping bits of animals for the 'look' should be strung up..

(not to be confused with working or hunting dogs)

Its not a common practice here in the UK.

This is a random thread. Are you ok? Do you need to speak to someone?

I think you should learn the facts before ranting. I am about to give you something worse to rant about - they do not just remove their fingernails, they amputate their toes.

This is why it is against the law in the UK to declaw cats.

It is also against the law to debark a dog or to dock their tails unless they are going to be a working dog.
