Re: Pet sitter for one day - am I being weird/neurotic?
They like animals - possibly not as much as I do though! They said 'it's just a day, surely they'll cope, just give them extra when you come back.' I just think it's a v long time to leave two young ones alone when they don't actually know when they'll get food again!

Re: Pet sitter for one day - am I being weird/neurotic?
Not in the least bit strange, it is a good idea, with young kittens, to have someone to check on them. I'm lucky to have a step-daughter living nearby to do such things though my two are old enough to be left on their own for a while now.

Re: Pet sitter for one day - am I being weird/neurotic?
Yes, if they were adults and on dry food perhaps it would be OK. They are fed wet food three times a day at the moment though and need to be monitored as Basil tries to eat all of Sybil's food so I'm trying to get a bit more weight on her so seemed like the only sensible option! Have been told I'm obsessing too much (granted, we only got the kittens a few weeks ago so am feeling a bit over-protective!)
I wouldn't be able to have a good evening if I was worrying about them the whole time ![]() |

Not strange at all , very responsible in my opinion
I certainly wouldn't leave my adult cats or kittens for that long without someone checking in on them It's your friends who are weird !! Get rid of them !! ![]() |
