Hiding the toilet roll from my cats!!!

Well the kittens especially keiko has a thing about toilet roll as many do, but she has taken it to the point of shredding it and carrying it out just to shred it.

It has now got to the point where we have to keep the toilet roll in a cupboard and bring it out when you go to the toilet then put it back in again.

Anyone else have this deranged situation

Fortunately, ours have never discovered the toilet roll as a toy....

Yes, every night I have to put it in a kitchen cupboard or it's everywhere in the morning.

Re: Hiding the toilet roll from my cats!!!

We had this problem with my old cat, Plato! He discovered the delights of toilet role after we shut him in the bathroom for a few hours by mistake - it was only after he'd confetti-d the entire room did we discover he was missing.

After that, we had to make sure the bathroom door was kept closed at all times otherwise it was confetti time!

(This is probably really weird, but I still have the last toilet role he ever shredded ).

It's only Fluff (boy) that does this but any tissue on a roll is fair game for him.

Re: Hiding the toilet roll from my cats!!!

Jaffe only does it very occasionally. It's usually a something he does if he thinks he's not getting enough attention otherwise he just unravels it and leave it in a pile on the floor We usually have to keep the bathroom door shut now a days.
