Re: Starter essentials for a kitten!?

Might be overkill, but I've also got a heated bed for my new arrival. And one of these!

Now who best to ask than you guys who know so much about the subject.....

There is a very strong possibility we are purchasing a kitten in a very short while. So I am all prepared for her, what should I have ready for her???? I want to get it right!!!!

Please give me your lists on what I need to get....oh and I have ordered a book on it all too.

Thanks in Advance!!!
So what breed did you decide on? Can't add much to what's already been said except perhaps a microwave heat pad for kitty's bed - not essential but lovely and cosy for the night. It's best to check what food your kitten has been used to aswell as a change could upset its tummy.
have to agree with all who have suggested a pop-up cube - it's the best toy I've ever bought!!

Re: Starter essentials for a kitten!?

I had it imported from the states. I have a lot of stuff imported so the carriage costs for this were lost with other things Don't think there is a UK distributor for these yet. Might bring a few over if there is interest. Still not a cheap one though.

Please could you tell me it's name or where you got it from? I'd LOVE to locate and get one of these, it's fantastic!

Re: Starter essentials for a kitten!?

When i knew i was getting Rosie i joined the FLEIX website and they sent me out a kitten pack.

It tells you everything you need for your new kitten. even about vac's and neutering

They update it for you every year and send you out lots of things.

It comes in a great pouch so you can keep everything (vet forms ect.) in it.

To join

Welcome to the home of Felix

or call them for the free pack. 0871 230 2325

I am going to give all Rosies kittens it when they eventually go to there new homes.

Hi He sleeps either in with me or he has a fleecey throw over my couch which he snuggles into, he's really not interested in his wee bed! hehe

Re: Starter essentials for a kitten!?

For Icarus we got a bed, food and bowls tray and litter (with scoop and nappy sacks-important! lol), a cat tree, toys and flee/wormiing stuff because he hadn't been done. At first he slept in his bed a lot as we kept him relegated to one area of the house but how he's got free reign (downstairs anyway!) he sleeps anywhere he wants lol, normally wrapped round a radiator post or on one of the dining chairs! lol
