I agree, Oko is the pits. Catsan isn't much better either.

My personal recommendation - Natures Gold

Re: not happy with oko !!!

I don't know if you have anything like this in the UK. I buy Petsmart's brand, Exquisicat. It comes in a cedar scent which is amazing. It masks the smell of poo like nothing else. It's also a clumping lightweight formula. They claim 14lbs lasts as long as 28lbs. I doubted the claim, but it is true. In my Litter Robot it lasts more than twice as long as regular clumping litter. Perhaps best of all, it doesn't track. It's lightweight and doesn't stick to their feet.

So, while you might not have Petsmarts over there, P@H might carry something similar----look for lightweight clumping, and look for cedar

Re: not happy with oko !!!

I use Worlds best and it does track too unfortunately. Do you have a mat down in front of the litter tray to try and stop tracking or at least minimise it?

I was actually going to ask about these mats. Do they work? Which ones are recommended?

I have not got an actual cat mat I have a slightly plush rug in front of the litter tray. It does keep it to the rug/hall area and not being dragged all round the flat anymore! I hear there is a good one at pets @ home but I personally couldn't recommend it. As MB said to me an old bath mat can do the trick to help with tracking.

Re: not happy with oko !!!

It's been a few weeks now that I've been mixing Oko Plus with his 'whole' version (Nature Gold) and noticed less tracking and dust.

Re: not happy with oko !!!

I know this might sound a bit stupid, but I also think a lot of the tracking is very dependant on the cat! I always use catsan, and when Molly was an only cat, I had no tracking what-so-ever ..... enter Manny and it's a completely different ball game he manages to get it everywhere, and with both trays (he has decided he likes to poo in one and wee in the other ) I have found litter where litter really shouldnt be
