I pointed out (politely I might add) that her idea of a nice friendly manner might be my idea of patronising and childish, and it was the patronising and childish posts that stopped me posting, not the blunt ones. She then just turned around and said "well I would rather be pink and fluffy like me than a hard faced old hag like you". This always happens with that type, they are the first to resort to insults when something isnt sugar coated enough for them. Too much sugar coating though is not good for cat welfare as the message gets lost in the all that sticky coating
That is out of order! Whoever started the name calling has issues.
Please don't leave because of something like this. Those kinds if people tend to come and go quickly

Re: aaawwww buffie :(:(:(

so - if no-one makes accusations of harshness on posts, then that will help keep those with the most experiance?
i do find it odd when threads decend into insult throwing - it doesnt help anyone

that sounds easy enough.....

tried that Jo, but like Buffie said a few posts ago it all ends with "taking threads off topic by pointing out someone has been a bit harsh, all that happens then is threads are closed, often never to bee seen again and any useful info goes too".

I got so many personal insults and I don't really need those when all I am trying to do is to help a cat in my won free time. Sadly not everyone is as receptive as you to be learn from their mistakes, for many just being told they have made a mistake causes a riot and a string of insults that have nothing to do with cats.

Yes she has issues

I won't leave. I just don't post much as it I see how it goes in here and its not to my liking, so I just keep quiet. Shame though as i do have a lot of hands on knowledge I could share.

You would think so wouldnt you,but it seems that is not the case.If advice is delivered in a straight talking manner it seems to offend many who would preferr to coat it in nice words but often a lot is lost in translation Seems you cant win and often the only loser is the cat.

And as for your comments being a generalisation? Not true, you quoted me.

Now run along.

Oh and another thing, stop giving out potentially dangerous advice to people to burst cat abcesses when they haven't even been to a vet with the cat. If you don't know what you're on about, just stay out of it. Don't give out advice that could make the cat much much worse.

Please feel free to post up any 'insults' that I have made when people 'wind me up' - again, I would be very interested to read them. Good luck in finding them!!!!!

I merely quoted the advice given to me by a vet when I had a cat with an abscess issue.

Finally, there will be no further response from myself to you on any topic because you are a negative person, with negative vibes and people like you are simply not worth wasting my time on.

hear hear Chris!! Wise words as always. I have found a nice fluffy pink bunny to add as my forum photo id in honour of greyhare so its now just a question of working out how to add it to the side of my posts.
