Re: cats and christmas trees

Last year was Earl's first Christmas, he scaled the tree a couple of times and like your Rusty loved to pull the baubles off and chase them around the room!

Just hoping this year the tree doesn't get pulled down again, anything else I can cope with

I've bought some plastic star shaped lights for the tree this year, they look safer for biters...!! They actually smell very plasticy and I don't think Treacle liked the smell when I tried them out, so hopefully he'll leave them alone! But we won't plug them in when we're out, anyway!

Re: cats and christmas trees

our lounge isnt very big so i've opted for a fibre optic xmas twig, its only 3ft tall, gold with sequins, its decorative but think it will be alright to leave up all year round,we've gone for ornamental things this year as we gave all our decorations and tree away before we moved so been buying new this year,up to now wobsi hasnt bothered anything, touch wood lol

Re: cats and christmas trees

The cats we have now dont bother with the tree although they do like investigating the presents when they appear but years ago when Polly was a kitten (her 1st christmas) we put the long silver strands on the tree. Polly thought it would be fun to eat them.
