Argos cat tree...

Does anybody have this one?

Buy Two Tier Cat Activity Centre at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Cat accessories.

Wondering if it is any good. I am thinking may not be much point as the little hidey hole may not be big enough for long as he grows. For this price though it may be worth it for a while.

EDIT: mmm maybe not, the reviews say not good for bigger cats. The search continues,.....

Last edited by jo-pop; 01-12-2011 at 10:11 AM.. Reason: Read reviews on it and not suitable I dont think

Re: Argos cat tree...

tbh this one

Cat Tree Oasis: lovely small cat trees at zooplus!

would be suitable as a 'kitten' post up to about the year old - because of the reletively small size there's a reduced risk of accidents or injury - we got a big one too soon and Indy bruised his leg and back quite badly when falling from it because he was a mental lunatic with coordination issues

The hidey at the base of this isn't -huge- but Indy my 6kilo lump can squash into a similar one when the urge fills him

once kitten-bob is bigger then can look into more complicated play structures that will last umpty odd years

Re: Argos cat tree...

Are you looking for a cat tree or just a scratch post?? I dont have a tree as I dont have room for one but I have a few scratch pads and posts around the home. I got my main post from pets@home at the begining of the year as it was christmas stock but reduced it is just a post and I have it tucked by my arm chair (stand is partially under the chair) I find the cats go in their bed and on the tops of my armchairs and sofas if they want to get higher.

Re: Argos cat tree...

Meeko has the both Argos tree'sThe one you are asking about is very unstable have posted a few pics. The den is not huge but is not tiny so may last a while.
Meeko os 10 months old in the pics

not too clear but might give idea of size.

As he is a bit of a clumsy sod he doesnt have high trees but does climb the welsh dresser and the wardrobe

Re: Argos cat tree...

Our two didnt use the cat tree that we bought them, we also have a post from p@h but found it totally useless and was not stable at all, we got the heavy duty scratch post from catscratcher.com you can chose your own base colour, believe me theres no chance of this one moving when a cat uses it.

Thought i had a pic on phone but havent, check the link out and look for the heavy duty one, it cos about 40 odd pound but its the best money we've spent

I have looked at that Zooplue one before, it looks ideal for the next 12 mths or so.
yes, the one we discussed in PM sounds good for when he's older

Hi,

I am looking for a cat tree as there will be times (on a night time or when we have lots of people round in over christmas) where he will be in the one big room and I would like him to have something to play on and to get up a bit higher.

Re: Argos cat tree...

If anyone wants just a cat tree without levels then my two love the p@h tree that's a tree with catnip heartshaped dangly bits they went mad at Christmas over it unfortunately it isn't puppy friendly as she decided to eat it
