It was a long night with Mia, she did much better than the first time and had a much easier birth...albeit a long one.
She had three kittens, she came into labour yesterday around 2pm, just as we sat down for dinner lol, her first kitten came breach but didn't cause a problem, it weighed 95g, we stayed with Mia throughout her labour in case of any complications, Kevin massaged her to get the labour going again and I gave her some caullophylum to help her have stronger contractions, her next kitten arrived at 12 midnight weighing in at 111g, the last kitten arrived at 12.40am at 101g. So we have 2 born on the 30th of November and 1 on the 1st of December.
We didn't go to bed then for another two hours just to make sure there were no more to come and to make sure all was well.
It was worrying when no more kittens came in 6 hours after the first one and we thought it was going to be a trip to the vet for scans etc, it was like she had the first one and then made herself comfortable as if to say "That's it now, I'm happy with just the one," lol.
Me and Kevin feel exhausted now though.
Mia is really content and purring away cuddling and feeding her kittens, they all look the same so I have had to mark them all under their arm pits with food colouring, although we put her with an Havana in the hope she would have at least one Havana with breeding potential which we could keep for another breeding queen she has had all Siamese, typical, lol, but we are just pleased they are all healthy, all alive and Mia had no complications.
