Well, I see where Ianthi is coming from, even if you don't.

The OP is making condescending comments about other people being irresponsible, because they would be contributing to the number of cats in rescues.

If allowing ones own cat to have kittens is considered a slap in the face of the rescues, then getting cats from anywhere BUT the rescues would be, too.....

3. The forum has moderators already, they dont need self-appointed ones like you. If you have an issue with a post, report it and stop trying to police the forum

I've come into this discussion really late and can't be bothered to read all 5 pages but have to add that the lady I got Leo and Susie from decided to let her cats have "just one litter each" before getting spayed. The two cats between them had 7 kittens and have all gone to loving homes in fact Susie and Leo where the last ones to go.

I do believe that some cat owners do indeed let their cats have "just one litter". My sis did that accidentally then got her cat spayed.
