When I get home from work, Shadow is always there to meet me in the hallway and wants a fuss made of him. So it was a surprise to me for Puss Puss to also approach me for a cuddle. She usually only shows herself after about 5 mins when they get some food.

Puss Puss really isn`t sure about the tv and stays out of that part of the through lounge when it is on. Shadow layed on my lap for an hour until I gave them some supper. After their snack I picked Puss up and settled her on my lap and that was with the tv still going. She stayed on my lap for an hour as well and she seemed to enjoy being on me.

Neither cat goes out early anymore and in most cases it is after 10.30am and they are both in by 3.30pm with both turning up for lunch around 12.00ish. When they are out they spend a lot of time with each other chasing, teasing and play fighting each other. Shadow will allow a couple of cats to come into our garden to play but others he will defend his territory. Fortunately he is a young adult so no other cats will take him on and he will defend Puss Puss putting himself between her and the other cat.

Things have not always been right but on the hole I am happy with the way the cats are dealing with this newish situation

So very pleased for you, Pusspuss and Shadow.There are now 2 cats that not so terribly long ago were homeless and alone.You have achieved so much in a relatively short time,

Thank you all. Now one of the down sides is being woken up early with two cats on my bed. If they layed down and slept that would be fine but what they do is have a play fight as well. When they stop, it is only for a couple of mins and they usually start having paw fights lol. Well I guess it is worth it
