Re: Cat food - biscuits vs meat

Guys sorry to bring this old thread up again, I'm planning on placing a big order from Zooplus soon with many of your recommendations

I was just wondering if any of the 'Hills...' stuff is worth getting? We have some Oral care because one of our cat has bad teeth, and even after lots of dental work the vet said because his teeth are kinda disjointed we need to keep an eye him.

But anyway, I notice they sell Hills food pouches, worth getting?! Thanks

Re: Cat food - biscuits vs meat

Personally i'd prefer a higher meat content than Hills offers (opnly 33% i think)

Perhaps you could consider one of the higher ones which is still shaped in the kibble form. The affect of dry food on the teeth is not as high as you may think, the kibble is the omly kind which may possibly do any good.
Applaws is an 80% feed with no cereal added - it is in a kibble form (or so it says on the pack though I have not seen for myself). Maybe this would be an option?

Some of the more experienced on here should be able to offer some advice soon.

Thanks, I'm definitely going to get some Applaws, but I'd need something that isn't just kibbles because whilst the one cat will happily drink water, I've never seen the other one drink it (though he does like milk!) but I don't want him to become dehydrated you know?

We use meat 3 times a week to help get the oils into their coats and to help prevent urine infections the rest of the time we use biscuits, which helps to keep the teeth clean and helps prevent tartar but they choose, which brands they want

I think it's very debatable that dry food does any good for their teeth at all. It's marketing speil in my opinion.
The kibblr shape may do some good but even then that's very little
